Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Unveiled account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do this.

Option 1 — In the app (fastest)

Open the Unveiled app and go to Account → Danger zone → Delete account. Confirm when prompted. Your account and gallery are removed immediately, and remaining data is purged from our systems within 30 days.

Option 2 — Email request

If you can't access the app, send us a deletion request and we'll handle it manually within 7 working days. We may need to verify the request from the email address registered to your account.

What gets deleted

• Your account profile and login credentials
• All selfies and photos you uploaded
• All AI-generated previews in your gallery
• Your prompts, preferences, and saved looks

What we keep, and why

South African law requires us to retain a limited set of records after deletion, for example:

• Subscription receipts and invoices, for the period required by tax and consumer-protection law (typically up to five years)
• Logs of suspected abuse or fraud, for security purposes

These records are stored securely, are accessible only to authorised personnel, and are not used for any purpose other than the legal obligation that requires them.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed by Apple or Google. To cancel:

• iOS — Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Unveiled → Cancel.
• Android — Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Unveiled → Cancel.
